A Flicker of Hope
It's been days since the landslide that buried a village in St. Bernard, SouthernLeyte. And with the rescue by various local and international rescue volunteers going at a snail pace due to the high possibility of another mudflow the hope of rescuing the children trapped in a school buried deep in mud grows dimmer as the hours tick. Last night, I was able to see a glimmer of hope when American and Malaysian officials said that their high-tech seismic-sensitive gear has detected sounds at the site of an elementary school. A rescue dog even stopped at a spot three times, so for those visiting my blog please join me in saying a little prayer for those kids. It's a race against time and time is something they don't have....

I was in high spirit the other day hearing from a reliable official DILG undersecretary Marius Corpus that it was confirmed 50 people were alive and was currently on their way for treatment...but 3 hours passed and this happy news was not true.Imagine coming from a public official and still its a jinx news?
The school was their prime target for the rescue operation and i cant help but have tears in my eyes everytime i see footages of lifeless bodies are retrieved.
All we can do is pray that if there will be people who are still alive may they hang on and be strong before help comes their way.And More prayers for the departed souls!
